Queen Mary 2: The Windsor Suite (Q2)

The Windsor Duplex Suite on the Queen Mary 2

The Windsor Suite is one of three duplex suites situated on the aft of the Queen Mary 2, the other two being named the Holyrood and the Buckingham. The two other Q2 suites are located near the bow of the ship. The Q2 suites are the second most luxurious suites on board (Q1 suites taking the hot spot).

This is my first time staying in a Q2, and I have been ridiculously excited to step foot in it since we found out we had been upgraded to it from a Q5 suite; everything from watching the 360 degree video tours on the Cunard website, desperately googling every picture of it I could find, and telling everyone I know about the suite!

The Q2 duplexes on the aft of the ship sprawl two decks of the ship; connected by an ornate sweeping staircase. This means the suite is extremely light and airy, given the high windows from the second floor of the suite, and the windows and extremely spacious balcony on the first (bottom floor) of the suite.

What are my first impressions? I am overwhelmed by its size and beauty. The only problem is… l now want to stay in it for a long voyage….
